HERSHEY'S Case Study

We’ve created unique campaigns for the Hershey Company on multiple networks that serviced different highly targeted audiences with the same overall goal in mind.

Each campaign was crafted to the network’s brand and price point – from big budget live-action shoots to small tabletop demonstrations and custom graphic billboards – allowing Hershey’s to feature different products and aspects of their business initiatives tailored to exactly the right audience.

An exciting, stunt-filled campaign featuring Hershey’s chocolate and flaming cars… the perfect scenario for Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies series.

We leveraged the iconic, apocalyptic landscape of their hit show, Falling Skies, as the backdrop for some serious drama. As our heroes try to survive the alien onslaught, their fortunes change with the discovery of Hershey’s chocolate. Will it be enough to get them through the night?

Hershey’s + TNT’s “Falling Skies”

For TNT, we pulled out all the stops for an exciting, stunt-filled campaign featuring Hershey’s chocolate and flaming cars… the perfect scenario for Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies series.

We leveraged the iconic, apocalyptic landscape of their hit show as the backdrop for a custom shoot with some serious drama and a humorous twist. Each :20 spot highlighted a different Hershey’s product and storyline.

Hershey’s + National Geographic’s “Geo Bee”

We helped Hershey’s pair with National Geographic’s Geo Bee competition, highlighting the best and brightest young minds and their knowledge of world geography.

This custom shoot imagined what that moment of nervous excitement is like for those hopeful finalists as they wait to go on stage. With an extra boost of confidence from a parent’s handwritten letter and a Hershey’s Kiss, they can conquer anything.

Hershey’s + USA’s “Character with a Cause”

Hershey’s joined our long-running Character with a Cause franchise on USA as a way to showcase the company’s huge pro-social initiatives that are so important to their core beliefs.

Founder Milton Hershey’s believed in doing more good with the sales of his chocolate, giving back through the school he established in Hershey, PA. We went there for a doc-style shoot to give an authentic voice to this story, showing there’s more than one side to big business.

Hershey’s + TLC’s Holiday How-to’s

Hershey’s came back several times for our “Fun Fact” campaign on TLC, giving viewers a “water cooler worthy” bit of info related to a particular product one step beyond the brief… to that place of urban trivia. We helped Hershey’s highlight several different products – from chocolate syrup to caramels – to create much more value on a lower budget using stock imagery, custom graphics, and a solid script to do the heavy lifting.

Halfway between a higher tier custom shoot and lower tier graphic execution lies the perfect middle ground. We worked with Hershey’s and TLC over several years to deliver step-by-step demos of holiday treats for the whole family featuring a low-cost custom shoot, real people, and authentic locations. These spots let Hershey’s connect with their target audience using a fun, natural tone that was fitting of the festivities and the budget.
