We created the brand new open for Aqua Teen: Aqua TV Show Show and invented some new animation techniques while were were at it.
Our animation team developed special motion-capture animation techniques, including shooting live action camera moves of special tracking markers to get the authentic feel of real period camera movement, and then mapped these moves into a 3D environment created for each scene.
The 3D backgrounds were textured, treated and rendered with our teams’ original cell animation. We added mood lighting and other effects to give it all the chic 70’s vibe.
