We got fans ready for “Huluween” with a spooky branded content campaign surrounding the release of “Goosebumps 2” as part of the streaming platform’s push for less-intrusive ads.
To promote Sony’s new family-friendly horror flick “Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween,” we integrated the movie’s main villain, Slappy, into Hulu’s October-long tentpole as he wreaked havoc on unsuspecting “Huluweenists” trying to share their favorite holiday hacks.
Our hapless influencers were in for more tricks than treats, orchestrated by a practical Slappy controlled via his well-hidden puppeteer, Avery, and a whole host of CGI monster friends that we carefully composited from existing movie assets. It was a DIY-to die for.
